Project 2A
Same goes to this project, it was divided into two parts. For the part A of this project, we have to use lines, shapes, forms, and materials and transforming it into a 3D geometric abstract art piece to suite a certain given word or phrase. We were required to explore the given words and translate it into “design elements” and then using design principles to transform it into a 3D geometric art work. The end product was a 3D artwork that instantly reflects the given word. beside that our lecture give it to us an famous architect to learn about him at the final we need to make 3D model that reflects the word that given and also we add some design related to our architect. In this project, we have chosen the word "ROTATE" as the word to be presented in our artworks. First, we have explored the meaning of the words and some simple objects around us that represented the word. By getting the inspirations from the daily objects, we have transform the word into 2D drawings by using the design elements. For example, dots, lines, geometrical shapes, organic shapes ETC. We had a tutorial pin-up session for this project to show our understanding to the word. So that, our lecturers can guide us to the right path if we misunderstood the word. |

During the second tutorial session, we were to finish up at least 3 models inspiration by using modelling board in the class Minimum one different models for each categories as follows;

during the third session we were required to transform those simple planes models into solid forms using thick polystyrene boards, brown cardboard box and mixture of both of them. Minimum one different model for each categories as follows;

during the fourth session we were required to do exploration at our own materials and also need to just post up photos and description of our work on the FB group for final approval |

FINAL 3D MODEL
REFLECTION
After completing this project, I learnt to corporate with others and share my own experience with them. Doing a group project has improved my communication skills in different situations, I have learnt to listen to others opinions as everyone has their own aesthetic value and perspective to a thing or idea. Moreover, the most interesting part in this project is that we can explore more materials to make our models and we enjoyed ourselves in this process, through trying out different materials to make our models, we can understand the special technique to deal with those materials |
